AK Nail Salon & Spa

AK nails is undeniably the best nail salon in Buffalo, NY. I have been going to this salon for 4+ years and tell all my friends and family to switch over to here as well. My acrylics are always done flawlessly. My nail tech specifically went out of her way to find an acrylic powder that worked best for my nails. She can match any design and most of the time… makes designs better than the picture I show her. Absolutely incredible service and I look forward to my appointment every two weeks!!

Not the worst service I’ve received but I wasn’t impressed. I had a 2:15 appointment for a full set. One guy sat me down and filed my nails and glued the tips on. I then had to wait an hour for someone else to trim, shape, and buff my nails. Then I was pushed to another nail tech for polish. A few of my nails came out looking clumpy but had been at the salon for two hours at this point and had other things to do so I didn’t ask her to fix them. I understand everyone is short staffed. But please don’t book appointments if you don’t have the time. I’d rather be told to come in another day than to be stuck sitting for hours waiting for someone to attend to me. Especially since I wasn’t just a walk-in. The techs were polite but I think I will be looking elsewhere.

Had two different people do my nails, and they both failed to notice or remove the red nail polish I came in with. They used tiny pieces from PAPER TOWELS to remove them, and still left so much red around my nails. Yes, it was a pain to remove...but really? Do your job. Unacceptable! I asked TWICE for them to get it out, they completely ignored me. Charged me $63 when it said on the sign it would cost me $45. My friend also got her nails done and they did not do a great job, they are very crooked. (Mine are French nails, hers are blue). Do not come here, and to the owners/workers... here is some constructive criticism: 1. Inform your clients on how much they will be paying before the service. 2. COMPLETELY remove ALL the nail polish your customer comes in with, it is truly not that hard. 3. Maybe listen to what your client is saying. 4. Do not leave dents in the nails, paint the sides I had to go to another salon… Model Nails. They are amazing!!! Totally recommend going there.
